The hand-spun, hand-dyed Scottish wool has moved onto skate shoes. One brand has now delivered two rounds of it, most recently a tweed-wrapped loafer finished with jewels, deliberately dirtied soles and a safety pin, alongside classic skate silhouettes in the same cloth. The effect is the vintage-luxury register that has been running through streetwear releases lately, taking a heritage material with a protected origin and putting it somewhere it was never intended to go.
