The photographic printing process that yields deep blue images is being used as a textile technique. In one collection real roses were laid down to produce the prints, which were then reproduced and manipulated across colourways, appearing on open robe-like coats alongside pigment-printed silk. The house reads the rose as both feminist and political, which places the technique somewhere between craft and statement. It is a slower, more hands-on way of making pattern than digital printing.
