The current phase pairs technical hardware with deliberately unserious details: tactical fanny packs covered in pockets, backpack-inspired tops, and purses fitted with more compartments than anyone could realistically fill. One label stamped its bags with a mock-futuristic logo, placing nostalgia and futurism in the same object. It is also being softened, balanced against ruffles, lace and paillettes rather than kept purely functional.
